Photography found me on a fourth grade school bus. The ride has been more than I could have ever imagined. I'd look out the window freeze-framing in my mind what I saw along Broward Boulevard and up A1A in Fort Lauderdale. I had plenty of time to internalize the push carts, sun tan lotion and sooty mufflers belching from the cars beneath my birds-eyed view.  In college for six weeks I learned to put those images into a camera. Years later as a staff photographer at the South Florida Sun Sentinel I learned to create and inform with those images. My purpose as a photojournalist today is to keep seeing and learning and ultimately leave the world a better place by sharing my stories - wherever the bus of life takes me.
